The Roosevelt Island Youth Center (RIYC) is now a megaplex of youth development, engagement, and academic stewardship. The nearly 8,000 square foot, $2.1 million newly renovated space, opened to the public in early April of 2021. With a modernized design and reimagined layout, youth ages seven to eighteen will enjoy upgrades that include immersive areas like a music studio complete with state-of-the-art music equipment, multipurpose lounge, activity studio, crafts and study center, and learning kitchen. A new multi-media theatre, gaming center and STEM lab, along with an educational garden, round out the multidimensional space.
